Contributors Welcome!

Join us on our journey into the digital frontier! Do you have tips or a story to share relating to indie books, authors or publishing? Consider contributing an article to us for publication on our site.

ElsMeetsDragon-350Indie Publishing Posts

We are always looking for helpful articles on the mechanics of indie publishing from writing to book formatting to marketing.

Artist Showcases

Are you an illustrator? We would love to have you showcase a work in progress or a final work, especially if you could tell us a little about you or the art work. Take a look at our Artist Showcases.

You may email us at maildrop or message us via Twitter @inkspokes. If you are an illustrator interested in being showcased, please include with the email a couple of illustrations or, better yet, a link to your online portfolio for us to consider.

Authors Submissions

Join the Writers Roundtable!

In addition to contributing a post, authors also have two other options to gain exposure on our site: making a book announcement for a new book or joining our Writers Roundtable.

Book News: For book announcements, please type “book news” in the subject header to your email or beginning of your Twitter message and we will post to our book news round-up posts. This is generally for new book launches.

Writers Roundtable: For general author spotlight/exposure, you may wish to submit something to our Writers Roundtable. Guidelines for these submissions can be found here.

Children’s book authors and illustrators may also wish to learn more about out Inkspokes Select Book InkspokesSelectElsAlone-color-600Award. You  may find the submission guidelines here.

At this point, we do not pay for articles or art work contributed but we will post links to your website(s), Amazon pages or other sales page for your work as appropriate.

Please note that we do not always have space to post all items submitted and will use our discretion on what items are published. Note that we are a family-friendly site – with a kidlit bent (everything from picture books to young adult). We do consider other content at times and host interviews/articles that discuss indie publishing irrespective of genre. If you are writing something special for our site, please query us first to gauge our interest and time frame for posting. We reserve the right to edit submissions for language and flow and to accommodate our layout designs.

We may purchase certain articles or art work in the future from our contributors to include in collections.

Thank you again for your interest! And please join the Inkspokes mailing list to stay updated on developments on our site.
